Shanti Nursing Home is a leader in treating mental illnesses in Marathwada. On the occasion of World Schizophrenia Day in the month of May, various activities were organized from May 15 to May 24 this year.
Competitions such as handicrafts, painting, memory games, cooking, essay writing, fancy dress etc. were conducted.
On May 24, World Schizophrenia Day, a get-together was organized for patients and caregivers on the premises of Shanti Nursing Home. Caring for a schizophrenic patient is a challenging task. Caregivers who performed that responsibility properly were felicitated on this occasion by Dr. Vinay Ba-Hale and Dr. Vinayak Patil. Interestingly, the patients expressed their gratitude to the caregivers through poetry, flute playing, speech.
Nearly 100 patients and their relatives participated in this gathering.
